Church Ministries

Ministers of the Word
Proclaim the Word of God at all Masses

Ministers of the Eucharist
Distribute the Eucharist at Mass and bring Holy Communion to the sick and housebound.

Choir
Sing at 10 a.m. Mass on Sundays
Practice on Mondays in Parish Church
Cantors lead congregational singing at 6.30pm Vigil Mass

Cabinteely Gospel Choir
Group sings at 12.30 a.m. Mass on Sundays
Practice on 8pm Wednesdays in the Parish Centre. See their website

Flower Arranging
This group arranges the flowers for Sunday Mass and for Weddings and Special Occasions.

Altar Servers
Training takes place regularly for the Parish Church.

Greeters
Greet People at the main Sunday masses and hand out the missalettes.

Prayer Groups

Tuesday: Divine Mercy Devotions after the 10 AM Mass

Wednesday Nights Centering Prayer 7pm-8pm

Fridays: Gospel Contemplation   10.30am- 12.30pm

The Rosary is recited before the 10 AM mass on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays at 9.40 AM.

Baptism Group
Help parents prepare for the baptism of their child.  Pre-baptism meeting for parents is held on the 1st Tuesday of each month in the Parish Pastoral Centre

Do This in memory of Me

7 Masses inn St Brigid’s Church throughout the year as part of the preparation for First Penance and First Holy Communion.

The Bethany Bereavement Support Group
Drop in support meeting for bereaved. Meets in the Parish Pastoral Centre on the last Friday of very month after the 10 AM mass.

Sacristy Support Group

The sacristy support team assist the Sacristan and provide cover for holiday periods. For more information contact the sacristan through the parish office.
