Palm Sunday

Mar 31, 2012

Welcome to Holy Week for yet another year. The Celebration of Easter 2012 and the lead into it, especially on Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the Saturday, will inevitably be the same (in expression) as any other year. However, for it to be a ‘renewed’ experience for us personally in St Brigid’s this year is going to depend entirely on the choice that each of us makes in terms of attendance and engagement.

The programme of Liturgical events is available on a printed sheet at the back of the church this weekend, as it is on our website www.cabinteelyparish.ie.

Communal celebration of the Sacrament of Penance for those who wish to receive it for Easter will be in Johnstown on Mon 2nd April at 7.30 pm and Foxrock on Tue 3rd also at 7.30 pm. Here in St Brigid’s individual celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available after the Holy Thursday and Good Friday ceremonies as well as Saturday morning and afternoon.

Tom, Conor and myself warmly invite you to participate as fully as you can in this very special week as we reflect again on our belief in the God of Love – as revealed in Jesus Christ risen from the dead.
