In order to prevent the spread of the Covid 19 Virus, there will be no further Public Masses in Cabinteely Church until further notice. We have a duty of care to our parishioners and to all in our country to protect the health of people. The situation will be reviewed as new information becomes available. The obligation to attend Sunday Mass and Holy Day Masses is now removed. This is a time for us to pray for each other and for our country and our world as we face this crisis. There will be a Mass broadcast from Cabinteely Church on the webcam on Sundays at 10 AM and on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 10 AM but there will be no congregation present. I encourage you to tune in to the web broadcast. Please continue to pray and to look after your neighbours. Please also continue to support your Church which you can do online at the Donate Page. (Mass is also broadcast daily from Foxrock Parish via www.foxrockparish.ie and on Sundays at 11.30 AM and also in Johnstown Parish at 11.30 at https://www.johnstownkillineyparish.com/live-mass/ )
From Tuesday 2 June 2020 St Brigid’s Church will be open for private prayer from 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM Monday to Friday.
PRAYER FOR SPIRITUAL COMMUNION:
For those who cannot attend Mass and receive Holy Communion, the following prayer may be said: (It reminds us that we have Spiritual Communion with the Lord 24 hours a day)
I believe that You
Are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things
And I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
Receive You sacramentally,
Come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace you as if You were already there
And unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
